Today we took Rylee to the pediatrician for a follow-up visit for her little stay in the nicu. She had a great check up and then we headed back to the hospital to have her blood drawn, one more time, to check her bilirubin levels. Today is day 4 and the big day of needing the level to be in the normal range. We just got the call that her level is the same as it was yesterday which means she is over the last hurdle from her nicu days. Yay!
It’s a relief to know that she is now on her way to being healthy and the testing is over. Now we can plan a day at home together as a family for tomorrow with no interruptions. We’re all looking forward to it. Maybe we can all actually get some rest too. Ahhh….rest.
